For the last leg of Style Origin, we found ourselves going all the way south to Davao. The “youngest” of the Ayala malls, Abreeza had only opened its doors to the public this May. We were there for technically four days and I don’t think cramming all the pictures in one post is gonna be effective so Day1&2 first. πŸ™‚ Let’s go through May 20 and 21 through photos, shall we? πŸ™‚

our flight was at 4am so we had to be at the airport by 2.
 the moon says hi
 sleeping through the safety demo
 finally! πŸ™‚
we were surprised (and pleased) to see the Parisian Summer 2011 catalogue in our hotel
Donna and I were roommates again, this time we get our own beds!
breakfast at McDonald’s with Lance in the background, haha
after breakfast, we rushed back to the hotel to catch up on some zzz
after catching up on sleep, we had lunch in Ahfat
Donna choosing which plate to use, hahaha
a scrumptious first meal (mcdo doesn’t really count, haha)
then we finally made our way to Abreeza
my checklist of places to go
the first and only branch of Starbucks in Davao. the line’s craaazy!
live orchids in the middle of the mall
“That’s so you, Reg!!!!” – Luis (it was, I ended up buying it, haha)
the changing rooms and the accessory pile of our new favorite Davao brand, Soul
 nice stuff, nice staff! πŸ™‚
Donna and I with our matching Soul bags
I felt my blue blood rushing when I saw these walls. maybe next time I’d be able to tour Ateneo de Davao
they have a beer station in SM Davao, how cool!
went to Harana along Torres St for dinner
their spare ribs are delicious!!! man, I’m craving for it now. 😐
after dinner, Donna and I got really hyper. we were laughing over the silliest things! we ended up with this note to leave since we were craving for some dessert (thanks to Master Chef followed by the super stupid DC Cupcakes reality show)
the note!
our plan was to tape it to their room. but we didn’t have any tape. hahaha
we didn’t end up going to the establishments across the street. Donna’s cousin and niece brought us to local coffee shop: Coffee Cat.
the interiors remind me of New York city lofts
they serve froyo and illy coffee
and also cakes!
with Donna and her niece: Muchy πŸ™‚ photo taken by Kuya Jop. it was really nice to meet Donna’s relatives! not only were they accommodating, they were really fun and makwento too! πŸ™‚
our magic school bus to and from Abreeza. although the pictures don’t really show it, we spent both days in Abreeza for clothes selection and fitting.
wasn’t really expecting to shop a lot, but I did. 😐 Aldevinco was a treasure trove!!!
bell armor. halloween costume, anyone? πŸ™‚
the pants I had to let go. πŸ™ love love love the print!!! but it’s okay, Luis, Donna and I have our own “sisterhood of the traveling pants” πŸ˜‰
bags that Donna and I bought πŸ™‚
after Aldavinco, us three had merienda in the Swiss Deli near our hotel
cheers!!! πŸ™‚

excited to use the bag
we then had dinner in Marina Tuna with Gary and Emer who just arrived from Manila
I love how grounded the owner is… there’s a lot more like this around the store. πŸ™‚
yummmm!!!!
Gary and Luis after dinner
dessert! Poli, who came from a family gathering, brought back this mango float. best mango float, ever!!
So that’s it, the first two days of Davao! πŸ™‚ If you haven’t figured it out yet, it was an eating and shopping trip as much as it was a work trip, haha! I really wanna go back to Davao and explore the place. Hopefully before the year ends. πŸ˜‰
xx
