So, I haven’t been a good blogger lately. The above photo is me flashing my apologetic-please-don’t-hate-me-I’ll-do-better-next-time smile. Please accept? πŸ™‚

It’s been almost 10 days of being here in Singapore, and truth be told, the gravity of my “big move” hasn’t really sank in. Homesickness has never been an issue for me, I like being able to travel and explore a different place (that’s not to say that I don’t miss my friends and family coz I do, very much) but I’ve never really went to a different place without knowing when exactly I’d return home – so I have a feeling the rug will get pulled from under and I’ll get homesick one day (not soon, I hope). Speaking of rugs getting pulled from under, life has a way of pulling you back to reality when everything’s smoothsailing… I’m hoping that since I fell into this steds situation thanks to having a rug pulled, it’ll remain steds for a while longer.. that this is reality and this is its way of hitting me. I mean, I don’t wanna jinx it but work has been great. So far, so good. The workload isn’t bad and the people are really nice. If you’d tell me a year ago that I’d land a deskjob and actually enjoy it, I’d think you were crazy. Justin Bieber (heehee) got it right- never say never πŸ˜‰

Here are some snippets of my week:

Smiled when I walked under this sign today. It’s just one of the many little things I love about work. πŸ™‚

my desk!!!

I got really kilig when I saw my desk cleared out for me during my first official day. I’m training in a different department at the moment so I haven’t really had the chance to sit in this one yet. Looking forward to “personalizing” it though! (Parang bata lang, hahaha) Plus! Our office kinda reminds me of the departments in Leong Hall in Ateneo.

It takes me an hour and a half to commute from Holland V to the office. Not much time by Manila standard, but waaay too long for Singapore. Pero keri lang, we’ll be moving soon and people watching is fun (except when you’re sleeping and they’re watching you – HAHA) I really hope that one day, the Philippines will have a more organized public transport system. Easier to go places, cheaper, and lesser pollution. πŸ˜‰

sup, dawg? I MISS MY DOGGIES!!!! Saw this cutie when I was on the bus to work. MRT + bus, o diba! Haha
So there, the reason I’ve been neglecting this blog~ moving and work. I’ll be blogging more as soon as I get the rhythm of things here so please bear with me in the meantime. πŸ˜‰

Oh and quick edit, I just got an email I sent myself a month ago via futureme.org and I’d like to share a line with you: “Are you in Singapore or are you in Manila? Just remember that wherever
you are, God willed it to be. It has a purpose and whatever He leads you
to, He will lead you through
.” Nice one, past Reg. β™₯
