This, my friends, is one of my favourite areas in Singapore – China Town / Club Street. Bianca, one of my oldest and dearest friends was in town for a short trip, so meeting her in the area was a no-brainer. We grabbed dinner with her parents at the famous chicken rice stall in Maxwell Food Centre. Yup, the same one that Gordon Ramsey challenged. Afterwards, we made our way to Club Street and after googling a place for craft beer, we ended up in The Tippletown Cafe.

Whether or not you love beer, Tippletown is the place to go for a cold one. They have a pretty wide array of beer, and the best part is that they actually help you choose one if you don’t have a preference. You think all those “hints of“, “floral/fruity notes“, “robust” mumbo jumbo is just reserved for wine? Think again. There are so many different kinds that I’m pretty sure even the non-beer-drinker would find something suitable to their pallet. But just in case I’m wrong, there’s always wine and cider for the non-beer-drinker.
our very informative and very helpful server for the night. tip: ask about the promos and specials!
our beer of choice that night: hefeweizen or wheat beer
cheers to dear friends, good beer, and great conversations. πŸ™‚
I’m really happy Bianca made a stopover in Singapore! I really enjoyed talking to this girl and just catching up. We’ve known each other since kindergarten!! She’s one of those people that even if we don’t spend as much time together, when we do, there’s no awkward silence or anything. It’s like we haven’t been apart and that time didn’t go by.  πŸ™‚
As I type this, I can’t help but remember the beer tasting night I had a couple of years back. I have come to the rather obvious conclusion that beer and good friends is the best pairing ever.
Cheers!
xx
