Back in 2011, I made a conscious pact to visit more galleries and museums. I believe that immersing yourself in history and art is a sure fire way to fuelling your creativity and increasing your general knowledge in a fun and interesting manner. Being in Singapore has allowed me to follow through on that resolution easier coz of the accessibility of museums and galleries, as well as travelling exhibits.

I recently spent an afternoon at the ArtScience museum to see the Dinosaurs Dawn to Extinction exhibit. It’s a very interesting exhibit which featured both real and cast fossils and bones. I’ll let the photos do the talking for this one:

all smiles as I make my way to the gallery
A running joke between this guy and I is our dinosaur lineage. It started out from high heels and a night in Zouk. I refuse to elaborate any further, haha

your cute Land Before Time dinosaurs are not here, sorry

my, what sharp teeth you have!
Dinosaur: all the better to eat you with!

My favorite part of the exhibit: Touching a fossil!

Serious geek mode but I really enjoyed touching a real fossil. 🙂 You aren’t supposed to touch the display, for obvious reasons, but there was one frame that actually invites you to. Can you just imagine the history behind that one piece?! It’s been around for more than a million, billion years. Just being able to touch it was a real surreal moment.
Oh, and a flashback photo. Because everyone loves dinosaurs, even if you’re a little girl who doesn’t know how to pose for the camera.
