Al Forno is one of the more recommended Italian eateries in Singapore by Google and my Facebook friends. It’s also quite nearby (East coast, baby!) meaning it’s accessible but at the same time it’s something you can put off going to coz it’s just there anyway. Finally tried it and although the Panzarotti Classici (pasta stuffed with ricotta cheese and mushroom in cheese and tomato sauce) and Pizza Tutto Funghi (assorted mushrooms) were okay, it was the Burrata and Pomodoro that we fell in love with. Burrata is italian cheese made from mozzarella and cream making it super creamy version of mozzarella – yum! We had a 300 gram slab with rocket and tomatoes which goes with it so perfectly. We finished off the meal with coffee (so Italian, no?) and desserts of profiterole and lemon sorbet.
