Ramen is so big these days that shops just keep on sprouting not just in Manila but also here in Singapore. I looove Japanese food, but I’ll be honest, ramen isn’t really at the top of my list. I mean, I do appreciate me a good bowl, but I’d take sushi and katsus over it any day. 🙂 Well, maybe except for this particular one I had at Keisuke Tokyo Ramen Dining.

Chanced upon Keisuke Ramen in Suntec after a late night fashion styling sesh with my boyfriend in H&M. It’s good being able to bust out my men’s styling chops once in a while… but it can also get quite exhausting especially if you do it during dinner time. Keisuke was our oasis of respite after an hour in the men’s department and impossibly long lines in other diners.

At 9pm, the restaurant is still quite full and bustling. A good sign that the food is good.

They give you a menu and you fill up these order forms after. The ramen is completely customizable from the add-ons (egg, seaweed, etc), noodle texture (hard, normal, soft), oil thickness, and even what ingredients to withdraw. I opted for the everything normal one, haha!
Ramen isn’t served instaneously, another good sign of good food, so you have these bean sprouts to munch on as you wait.
What originally caught my eye was the Crab Stock Ramen but my boyfriend beat me to ordering it, haha! Pictured above is his Special ramen with additional everything. It’s very interesting coz you don’t really find places that sell crab stock ramen.. plus, Luke ordered and liked it, considering he doesn’t really like crab.

My super super yummy Miso Tonkotsu Ramen with Egg. SOOO GOOOD!!! I actually liked this more than the crab stock, but hey, I’m a carnivore. I kid you not when I say this is the best ramen I’ve had in Singapore (I would’ve said my whole life, but I admit to having limited comparison points).

Just to give you a heads up on the price points. I really found my ramen so good that I wouldn’t mind paying for it again. (To be honest, as I type, I’m craving for this ramennnn!!) As always, drinks will drain your wallet.
The man behind the food: Celebrity Chef  Keisuke Takeda. He actually has 4 four different ramen concept outlets plus a gyoza dining concept that I am just dying to try!

So much for ramen not being on the top of my list, no? :))
Have a good weekend, everyone! Please do feel free to recommend any ramen spots I should try!
