I interrupt my scheduled Hong Kong-Macau travel log programming for this breaking reflection. Why is it that when you’ve finally decided to go for something, life throws you reasons not to? Other opportunities appear and setbacks start to sprout as if telling you to rethink your plans. The way I see it, it’s either destiny lending a hand or life testing your grit to see if you’re worthy of the greatness you’re aspiring for when you drew out your plan. So, which is which? To be honest, I really don’t know or else I wouldn’t be here typing now. I do know, however, that there is a huge difference with life happening to you and making your life happen. I refuse to let my life become a product of circumstance, yet, I’d be stupid not to let life show me the other things it’s devising.Thank God for Aristotle! I’ve mentioned the Doctrine of the Mean several times on this blog and up to now, it’s still my go to philosophy on how to go about my days – striving for a balance that I can live with.

Here’s to finding that balance. It’s a shot in the dark but I’ll make it. 😉

xx
