This is going to be a super random post but for the past months, I’ve just been *dying* to get my own place. The problem is 1) Singapore is a really expensive city and 2) I haven’t reached the point wherein I could easily afford my own apartment. I could pay an extra $800/month but that would mean uncomfortably cutting down on stuff, and hello, from someone who’s been holding back on upgrading her phone so she could have a few extra hundreds for her travels – that’s just not a wise option.

I’ve been binging on The Mindy Project lately and I love the layout of Dr. Mindy Lahiri’s apartment. I mean, it’s probably a bit too big for me – I don’t mind cutting down on the living area – but I adore the double doors to the bedroom. This freaked me out a bit coz, hello, she’s 26. How can a person have her own nice place without roommates even if she’s a doctor?! But then a few seasons in, we find out she’s actually 34. I know TV isn’t really a good basis, but hey, don’t be too hard on yourself, Reg. Save for a bit more and then get a nice place. In the meantime, here’s a few inspo pegs I found online. Let’s go, Law of Attraction!

My future home must haves: fresh flowers, framed photos and quotes, white linens, a bar cart (hee!), book shelves, comfy seats, windows (!), scented candles, a balcony or at least a fire escape, open spaces, and not pictured – a fully functioning kitchen.
What about you? What’s your ideal home?
Cheers and happy apartment dreaming!
