Every time my mom visits Singapore, we dedicate at least a night for a hotel staycation. I’ll be the first to tell you that Singapore hotels are sooo expensive, especially when I convert it to Philippine Pesos, but there really is nothing like plopping into a very comfortable bed, preferably after a good bubble bath, with the aircon blasting and then not having crying kids disturb the peace – or worse, wake you up at an ungodly hour. You see, I live in an apartment with 3 kids, 2 of which are girls who love to fake cry and scream, so it’s nice to get away from them from time to time. Good thing there’s Agoda and other discounted booking sites! One of our staycations last 2015 (I won’t say the month so you don’t judge me too much for this late post, hahaha!) was in Marina Mandarin. It’s within close vicinity of Suntec City and it may be the most budget-friendly among the hotels around. Since the area is pretty much all connected, my mom and I went to Suntec for a shabu-shabu lunch followed by a stroll around the famous Fountain of Wealth. The rest of the day was spent chilling at the hotel. Good times with my mama! See for yourself and enjoy the photo diary below. x
