As I’ve mentioned before, we handle the styling of the first ever Miss Resorts World pageant. Thursday night capped off a month-long journey not just for the contestants but for us working backstage as well. There really is no better feeling than seeing the results of your hardwork. Watching them from the monitor backstage, I couldn’t help but feel proud and I’m sure the other stylists felt it as well. π Wednesday and Thursday was the final stretch and like all final stretches, it meant nothing but hustle, hustle, hustle. For two days we ended after midnight. Good thing Friday was rest day. π
For the fitting and dress rehearsal, i wore my red corduroy polo that i’ve been meaning to use for quite some time now, i love ny wifebeater from peace love fashion, shorts, and boots. i realized i should take more pictures before i leave the house so i can take advantage of the sunlight. i’ll try doing that as much as possible.
the styling team usually has an outfit βthemeβ be it planned or unplanned. for donna and i, it turned out to be world cities.
our outfits were no match for the airconditioning at the vestibule β it was freezing!!! look at the moist/fog forming on the windows!
For the coronation night, Luis advised us to just wear flats and leggings coz it was gonna be a long and busy day. He suggested Audrey Hepburn as our peg and told us that our outfits should be in black coz we’d be in the backstage. Sooo, i wore black leggings, my trusty lacoste striped shirt (which i had since i was in the 5th grade!), my salmon ballet flats from parisian, and a headband.
