You ever had one of those days that you don’t wanna be at home but you don’t wanna be with people either? Last Monday was exactly that. Decided to stroll around in Eastwood for some alone time. Seriously guys, nerd glasses are just as effective as sunnies in saying don’t mess with me. It’s especially more effective indoors as some shops aren’t that well-lighted and wearing dark shades would just give you a hard time browsing.

I really need to make an effort in taking photos in different areas. This was the only photo taken by our driver and I don’t look so happy and my forehead got cut. Normally would’ve asked for a retake but the swarm of people crossing made me rather self-conscious which is a big no-no in outfit shot taking 101.

What about you guys, do you still get self-conscious in taking blog photos in public? Just curious. 🙂

  1. gosh YES I do get conscious when a lot of people are swarming at you and you're on your pose already waiting for the camera to click,then everything is gone because you get conscious hehe!:)

  2. First of all, I get what you mean.. Well right now, I'm alone lang at home kase the maid had to go home to the province (her Tita died) and my Mom keeps bugging me that I should have some friends over.. Pero ayaw ko.. Gusto ko na muna mapag isa.. Haha..

    Kung sayo, nerd glasses, for me its my MP3 player. Especially pag nasa department store tapos yun mga saleslady makulit, sunod ng sunod sayo. Lol. When they know you cant hear them, they wont bother na. Haha!!

    And lastly, I used to get self-conscious but I guess I have a newfound confidence.. Thanks to http://www.theplumpinay.com 😀

I also have those days…quite often hahah…Well you know..I actually haven´t taken any outfit photos in public I think just one at a restaurant…but it was kinda empty and the waiters were somewhere else I dunno hahaha…but I guess I might be a little bit self concious….OH I remebered I try to take one in a mall that was a disaster hahaha

  5. I have the exact same problems! Whenever Im out and want to get some decent photos for my blog, tons of people pass by, look at me weirdly, and I feel so uncomfortable. It's like, have they never before seen someone having his picture taken?

  6. I hear you! Sometimes it's better to be bored alone than be bored with someone else. I wouldn't know how I would get myself out of that kind of situation – getting bored with a companion. ME time is always OKAY.

    On getting bothered with people watchers when I take outfit shots, they don't matter anymore. Bahala na si Bruce Wayne, I just need a good outfit shot mantra works for me.

  7. Hahaha Yeah, there are times when I get super conscious when I'm having my photos taken. But after the first 4 shots, I start to ignore the people watching. Hehehe 🙂

    And I always get self conscious even though most of my blog photos are taken in my bedroom! I'm still scared my relatives will walk in and wonder what I'm doing!

  18. Great post, I've been blogging for a little over a year now so taking pics outdoors becomes easier… the only time I get nervous is when people stare for a long time but I only need to try and block it out 🙂

  24. alone time is always important!!! I usually have mine in eastwood too! kase madami mabubutingting and malapit! =) And yes! I always get the look from people nakakahiya but when you see the photo okay ka na ulit =)
