As I was updating myself with Paris fashion week shows, I saw these two picture side by side and it got me to exclaim a four letter Filipino word that starts with the letter p. Simply put, I was blown away. I love the play of the luxurious fabrics and the rich jewel tones, it’s just so… brilliant. This is something I’m not usually into to, by the way, because for starters, the last designers that made me fall in love with them were Christophe Decarnin for Balmain and Erdem Moralioglu for Erdem. A far cry from Haider Ackermann, I know! This isn’t to say that I didn’t like any other collection from various designers because I did (and I do!) but there’s just something about these designers that got my heart rate up and made me fall in love with them.

Here are some of my favorites from the Fall 2011 collection of my current favorite designer. Enjoy!

noir et blanc. the show opened with black, white, and an abundance of chic.
star dust. not quite gold and not quite silver, these hues radiate holiday glamour.

show-sTEALer. among the jewel tones showcased, teal has got to be the star of this collection. i especially love the teal and moss green color combination, definitely something i’ll try out soon!

So what do you think? Are there designers/collections that you’re just in love with? Please do share, I’d love to read your comments. 🙂

For the mean time, I’ll just be practicing the law of attraction in hopes that I’ll be able to watch Paris Fashion Week before I turn 30 😉

  1. I've never heard of this designer but thanks for posting! I really love these pictures, the designs are really inspired and creative and thats great because recently I feel like I've been seeing lots of designers borrowing ideas from each other. My favourite looks are the star dust ones- so pretty! x x x

  2. That is sooo cool! If Karl likes him, we should all LOVE him :p I don't really see Chanel in his clothes either, but how cool would a fusion of both look? I'll be excited to see! x x x
