One of the best places to hit if you wanna satisfy your gastronomic cravings is Burgos Circle in The Fort. This little rotunda is lined with restaurants that all have their own delicious cuisine and specialties. I’ve blogged about my yummy experience in Cafe Juanita here and though I don’t have any formal training in food, I do appreciate a good dish. Two Tuesdays ago, our friend Junot invited us to Izumi (where he was doing his internship). It was Francis and I’s first time there and we really enjoyed the food and the music. They have this thing every Tuesday where the music is free for all and when I say free for all, I mean free for all. You could literally plug in your ipod and play your own songs, how cool is that? πŸ™‚ The interiors are pretty neat too! The ground floor, which served as the dining area, showcased the minimalism Japanese interiors are known for. While the second floor, which was more loungey and discothequa, had an edgier spin with its red fixtures.

Izumi’s April calendar. Do drop by during happy hour! It’s really happy πŸ˜‰
After dinner, Francis and I grabbed dessert in my absolute favorite bar that I don’t think I’ll ever get sick of talking about: Bar Dolci. I know I’ve posted photos of their macarons and gelati before (here), but how can I not take these mouthwatering photos especially since there are actually more macarons on display since it was a weekday. Mmm!

life really is so much sweeter with nyummy desserts!!!
I hope I don’t leave you too hungry with these photos! πŸ˜‰
