Thought I’d poke fun at myself by wearing all blue on my birthday. I had to give “birthday blues” a new meaning coz I didn’t want the self-pity to stick with me the whole year through.. And what better way than by injecting some humor?! I had a really amazing 23rd birthday and the simple fact that it fell on a Tuesday, which happens to be my favorite day of the week, was a pretty darn good omen.

I greeted my birthday in the MIP Plaza. Yup, I greeted my 23rd year on this planet in OrangeBlush and Zentea. Really glad that Mikka dropped by to greet me in person! Looove this girl’s kwentos! πŸ™‚ Almost went out with her and her friend but my hermit mode got the best of me. (To my mom’s delight, haha!) Went home and was surprised by my mom with roses πŸ™‚

Since I’ve been craving for Yabu, it was a no-brainer where I wanted to have lunch. πŸ™‚ Will be posting an in-depth entry about Yabu soon! In the mean time, follow @YabuPH on Twitter and Like Yabu on Facebook πŸ™‚

Like I said on Twitter, I’m really glad that my mom insisted I celebrate my birthday even if I was on emo/hermit mode and didn’t really feel like celebrating a few days prior. Mother knows best. πŸ™‚ Having 16 of my bestest friends for an intimate dinner was the perfect way to start my 23rd year πŸ™‚

Carebears, Trumpets, Roxas Cousins, Comtech/Core/College barkada: I LOVE YOU ALL. (kahit yung mga wala, hahaha)
that splitsecond you have to make a wish and your mind goes blank. then you find your irrational but very real wish. πŸ˜‰ haha

And my rational yet also very real birthday wish, in Neil Gaiman’s words:

“May your coming year be filled with magic and dreams and good madness. I hope you read some fine books and kiss someone who thinks you’re wonderful, and don’t forget to make some art — write or draw or build or sing or live as only you can. And I hope, somewhere in the next year, you surprise yourself.”

xx
