Another blue ensemble. Please remember that I’ve packed for only 5 days and I’ve been out of Manila for 3 weeks now. Haha! Spent the rainy Sunday afternoon with relatives over at Clarke Quay. If you’re homesick in whichever spot on Earth you are, here are some tips to beat away the blues and keep you from impulsively booking a flight back home.

1. go to a favorite spot or to some place nice. the ambience should remind you how awesome it is to be where you are right now. for me, having a river that doesn’t stink right smack in the BHS-like area was that place.
2. indulge in your comfort food. for me, it has always been hot chocolate. Haato & Co.’s lemon meringue pie went really well with it πŸ™‚
3. invite your friends, or if you’re lucky enough, your relatives. πŸ™‚

4. treat yourself to a meal at a local favorite. Ingrid and I had dinner at Wee Nam Kee after the mass and grabe, BEST HAINANESE CHICKEN EVER. :))

Okay, so maybe this post hasn’t been that serious (I haven’t put my major in Psychology to use in this entry, haha) but here’s the thing… To beat the blues, you need to focus on the good things about where you are at the moment. The same goes for life in general, as much as possible, try to always see the silver lining. πŸ˜‰

Have a good week ahead!
