I have a ton of backlog entries pending but I’ll interrupt my own scheduled programming to share with you guys my wonderful experience at To-gather Cafe in Bedok. It’s too good not to blog right away! That isn’t to say that the others aren’t as good (they are!) but go through this entry and you’ll understand why.
I first learned about To-gather Cafe when Miss Chocoholic posted her link on Singapore Eats. Shortly after that, my colleague mentioned this cafe to me because he knew how much I loved food. My colleague frequents this cafe with his kids because they absolutely adore the lava cakes so when my friend Jerni and I finally decided to meet up, this place popped to mind.
First things first, if you can, MAKE A RESERVATION. It was a Tuesday night yet it was full house. I tried to book a table but they said they were already fully booked and I could try to walk in instead. Lucky for me, I didn’t have to wait that long but yes, there was a queue of roughly 15 people (and counting).
my new motto! |
pretty much everything I ate, hahaha please read on for clarification :p |
Atmosphere was really charming and cozy with a lot of quotable quotes lining up the walls (did you see my new motto above? hahaha!). You have to go to the cashier to order, and water and cutleries are self-service. But the food was good, the staff were friendly, and the prices were reasonable. 🙂
my “date” for the night, Cromly‘s Jerni Camposano |
If my “date” looks familiar, it’s because you’ve seen her on this blog before! We used to work together on shoots for The Philippine Star’s Allure section in which she worked as an Editorial Assistant (which is most likely why you know her, haha!). I’m so glad we finally got to gather (pun intended) as this long overdue meet up has been 6 months in the making!
And now, on to the food!
with the birthday girl |
Happy happy birthday, Jerni!!! I hope all your wishes come true and that we may have more frequent catch up sessions. Cheers!
With levelled up comfort food served in a warm and friendly atmosphere, it’s easy to see why this cafe promotes “togetherness”. Everything about it – the interiors, the staff, and the food – makes you want to come back and share that warm, fuzzy experience you’ve just had with those dearest to you. It’s no surprise that they are packed, from families to groups of friends to reuniting amigas (that’s us!), people wanted to be together with each other and with To-gather. There’s still so much I want to try and so much people I want to bring, I will definitely be back!
xx
Thanks for sharing and great post! 🙂
