Happy Sunday everyone! For the common man, Sundays have always been ideal for lazing around and sleeping in. I am one of those people who turn into lazy bears on Sundays. Good thing for brunch or else I wouldn’t leave the bed at all! If you’re like me and you need a bit of inspiration to leave the house, then look no further! Let me show you guys a reason out in the form of Common Man Coffee Roasters.
Common Man Coffee Roasters is located at 22 Martin Road #01-00, Singapore 239058
We didn’t have any reservation so we planned on going really early to secure a table, however, there was already a long queue when we arrived. Good thing we didn’t have to wait too long.

The jam packed cafe. Aside from arriving early, one of the reasons the queue went fast is because they really maximize the seating. IF personal space is die die crucial for you, you wouldn’t be a fan because there’s a 90% chance you’d be elbow to elbow with a complete stranger.

A peek at their menu. The food doesn’t come cheap but it’s no surprise given that I think brunch is the most overpriced (YET DELICIOUS!) meal.

Brewing guide for future reference.

Oh, they also use organic eggs from free range chickens too.

Hot and iced coffee game on point which is no surprise as CMCR came to be because of the partnership between Harry Grover of 40 Hands, Five Senses Coffee, and the Spa Esprit Group – coffee experts much?

The Common Man Full Breakfast. I love English breakfasts, this one was a mile better than the last I had in Singapore. Organic eggs, back bacon, sausage, grilled tomatoes, chorizo hash browns, portobello mushrooms and house made chorizo baked beans with artisanal sourdough – what more can I want?!
Common Man Burger. 100% ground ribeye, provolone, grilled tomatoes, caramelised onions and pickled guindilla on a brioche bun with fries on the side. The oozing cheese was so good! I also love the fact that the buns were toasted too.

If all else fails on getting you to leave the house on a Sunday, make sure to set a date with people you enjoy spending time with – be it your family, your friends, or your significant other. Good food and good company – that will always be enough motivators for me. 🙂
