I love Cosmo. Singapore, Philippines, USA, UK, Australia – whatever edition it is, if it’s in English, I’d pick it up right away. It hasn’t always been the case though. A few years earlier, you’d find me opting for a high fashion glossy any day, but that also came with my styling career. Nowadays, my personal style has tamed down, focusing more on clothes that actually suit me and not just because it’s the season’s must. Not only do I find the sartorial choices more relatable, I find the articles essential for an independent woman too. I like how the magazine is curated to empower women to be not just fun and fabulous, but also fearless – be it in careers, relationships, and even owning her female sexuality. It’s my absolute favorite magazine (tied with that ever evasive BA Business Life) so that’s why I have a huge ass smile in my faux Cosmo cover above. 🙂

Cosmo Singapore celebrated their 3rd birthday last September and I was one of the lucky folks to score invites. Was supposed to go with my gal pal Pooja but she wasn’t feeling well, so I was faced with a dilemma – go alone or not celebrate with my favorite magazine? I chose the latter coz after all, isn’t that what Cosmo would advise? 😛

Besides, I knew I would be in good company since these are Cosmo girls we’re talking about. Birds of the same feather normally flock together, right?  ðŸ™‚ Above is one of the ladies I “partied” with, the very friendly Dorothy.

Birthdays won’t be complete without balloons, agree?

Some kind of “Empire State of Mind” moment right there
Interesting ceiling action at F.Club over at Clarke Quay. This room was filled with so much baroque paintings that I felt like I stepped inside a medieval palace.
kisses and half naked men

Another look at the venue and the crowd gathered. There was a stage set up where they awarded this year’s Fun Fearless Females and the Cosmo Celebrity Face-off challenge took place. Unfortunately, I forgot to charge my camera and my phone, well, let’s just say the “memory full, cannot take new photo” screen is all too familiar.  For more photos of the event, read the Cosmo Blog.
Cheers to Cosmo and to us Cosmo girls!
