My happiness – pizza and pasta. I really feel I should move to Italy, or at least go on a month or so food sabbatical slash road trip from Milan to Sicily and just indulge myself with Italian cuisine til I no longer crave for it. I can only imagine the toll of the carbs on my body, though. Haha! Luckily for the weight conscious, Skinny Pizza offers the same amount of punch with less dough. A must try is the Squid Ink Pizza. As pictured above, it’s a delicious treat bursting with flavor. The pasta was also okay, but it’s the pizza that stole the show. No surprise there coz the place is called Skinny Pizza, not Skinny Pasta. Skinny Pizza’s thin-ovative crust that is reminiscent of pappadum is really light and there’s no heavy layer of cheese so you can breeze through the meal without feeling guilty or jala or umay. Some may argue that it’s basically just salad over crisps, but I don’t think one can really argue about its yummy goodness. That’s one of the things I love about Italian food – since it’s embraced by most cultures, people have used it as inspiration and fused it with local produce and techniques to create intrinsically good “new” food. Skinny Pizza offers exactly that.
