No full-blown playlist today. Instead, I offer you a bite-sized serving of my music library including not necessarily new tracks that I’ve been overplaying these past few days. Oh, and for Throwback Thursday’s sake, that’s 2009 me, braces and all. πŸ˜‰

1. From Eden by Hozier
My boyfriend isn’t a fan but I am absolutely in love with this song. Hozier had me at “Babe, there’s something tragic about you”. It gives off such an old school vibe, I actually thought it was an 80s track the first time I heard it. I really dig the heaviness of this tune, it dabbles into the dark side of love without being overly whiney. Just the right mix of depressing and beautiful.

2. Budapest by George Ezra
Agh, I love this song!!! How to even begin to describe it?! It’s folk-y and catchy, the imagery the lyrics paint is gold, and George Ezra’s voice is unlike any other. I can listen to this song all day! Such a mood booster too! A 180 from Hozier, this takes me to my happy place – cobblestones in Europe with youuu oooohh youuu. πŸ˜‰

3. Shoot Down The Stars – Gym Class Heroes
I have used this song here back in 2012 and up to now, it remains to be my get psyched song. I still can’t get a hang of the rap part (a major fail coz I’ve always thought highly of my rap skillz, haha) but the bridge and the chorus is my personal cheerleader. You can do it tiger, you a man now!

Hope you enjoy the music!β™« Feel free to share what you’re currently listening to in the comment box below!
