Yep, there it is, the most spectacular. Before you start complaining about how “simple” this outfit is, let me quote a designer whose initials we know all too well – Yves Saint Laurent. He has described blue jeans as “the most spectacular, the most practical, the most relaxed and nonchalant. They have expression, modesty, sex appeal, simplicity.” Moreover, this is really spectacular coz I’m rarely in jeans. Denim shorts, yes, but pants? Not really. Even my boyfriend was surprised when he saw me. Kept things simple with a black tank and minimalist accessories including a Zara sling that kept activating store alarms. Really embarrassing, but at least it also rings off when I first enter the shop. Speaking of rings, I’m so happy to have a curling iron back in my life. I lost my touch at making ringlets but at least I managed to get some waves. Not so spectacular, but a feat nonetheless.
Hope you guys are having a great Saturday night! Obviously, I can’t be bothered and I’m lying in bed ramblingly typing this piece. But hey, like what my book, Writing Down the Bones, says, write and write even if you’re uninspired. You have to be comfortable with the fact that not everything you write will be great. Knowing this allows you to be undaunted upon seeing a blank page. And who knows, maybe what you write next will be mind-glowingly great. So voici, here it is.
