\nIt’s Thursday! Or as what The Muttons<\/a> call it: ALMOST FRIDAY<\/b>. I don’t particularly like Thursdays because I grew up having coding on that day, but hey, Thursdays are not so bad. For one thing, the car at home is now coding every Tuesday but I can’t not like Tuesday coz it’s my favorite day of the week. Anyway! I’m rambling (again, hehe!). So yes. Thursday. THROWBACK THURSDAY! <\/i><\/div>\n

\nThis week I am featuring the Met’s exhibit last May – September 2015 – China: Through the Looking Glass<\/b>. Yep, the one for last year’s Met Gala. As in, the annual Met gala where celebrities and socialites and the current who’s who dress up in their best outfits, in accordance with the theme. I was in the city when it happened, but I was only at the museum a couple of days after. Maybe next time I’ll get my invite? #wishfulthinking hehe! <\/div>\n

\nI really enjoyed seeing this exhibit because it was the closest I’ve ever been to seeing runway collections in the flesh. The fashion stylist in me got giddy seeing designer names beside its corresponding couture pieces. It was really interesting to see the impact of a “distant” region, a country <\/i>even, in something so everyday (these particular items, not so everyday, lol) as garments. I like how the traditional designs and patterns are seamlessly tied with contemporary elements. How it says China and not-China at the same time. I especially love the blue and white ware influenced wear. It looks sooo dainty! But I doubt I’ll be able to pull it off, hehe! <\/div>\n
