\nOne of the usual questions people asked me back in Manila is what I usually eat in Singapore. People are surprised when my response is “japanese” coz this city is famous for hawkers. It’s not that I don’t like hawkers, it’s just that the freedom that comes with living alone and earning your own moolah extends to eating what you please. And I don’t think I’ve stressed enough how much I love steak, japanese and italian food. So why not, right? Nom nom nom. I promise not to overindulge this year, though! Time to get that beach bodehh back. \ud83d\ude09 <\/div>\n

\nTonkichi<\/b> is a Tonkatsu Specialty chain japanese restaurant in Singapore. They serve remarkable pork katsus<\/i> in both rosu <\/i>(loin) <\/i>and hire <\/i>(fillet). <\/i>They also serve other kinds of katsus<\/i> – like chicken and seafood – but I’m quite loyal to pork, haha. If you can’t choose between rosu <\/i>or hire<\/i>, they have a combination set for you to try (as pictured above). Their sushi is okay, but the star of their menu is really the tonkatsu. I wasn’t keen on their Katsudon as I found it too wet, and their Chirashi Don, although it comes with chawamsuhi and mini-udon, wasn’t that good because of the rice’s lack of flavor. All things aside, if great tonkatsu is what you want, Tonkichi doesn’t disappoint. <\/div>\n
